Azerbaijan imported 459.9 tons of medicines from Georgia in January-July 2019, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The total value of medicines imported from Georgia amounted to $17.90 million.
In annual comparison, the volume of import of medicines into Azerbaijan from a neighboring country decreased by 1,118.9 tons or 3.4 percent. In monetary terms, the reduction amounted to $2.32 million, or 11.5 percent.
For the same period last year, Azerbaijan imported 1,578.8 tons of medicines from Georgia with a total value of $20,234,000.
The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in January-July 2019 amounted to $600.59 million.
The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $7,065.3 million in January-July 2019, 0.2 percent lower year-on-year.
