Output of Azerbaijan's Ganja Aluminum Plant in January-July 2019 reached 28,539 tons, a source at the company told Trend.
According to the source, the company plans to bring this figure to 50,000 tons of primary aluminum by late 2019.
"The annual capacity of the enterprise is 50,000 tons of primary aluminum; in addition, the plant also produces aluminum ingots of special alloy, which are supplied to the Sumgait Technological Park (STP). Since early 2019, the company has sent to STP 6,090 tons of special alloy aluminum ingots," the source said.
The source added that currently, talks are underway to supply larger amounts in 2020.
At the moment, the aluminum plant is operating at full capacity, all the units of the enterprise are involved in the production process.
The plant produces primary and final aluminum products, as well as semi-finished products in the form of aluminum sheets.
