Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 10
By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:
Orelay, an Azerbaijani manufacturer of confectionery, eyes to greatly increase the production of raisins, deputy director of the company Ilgar Karimov told Trend on Sept. 10.
“The production volume is planned to be brought up to 100 tons till late 2019,” he said.
“The principle of drying the grapes in a natural way (in the sun) and through special ovens is used during the raisin production,” Karimov said.
“Presently, the preference is given to the first method,” he said. “During other seasons, the grapes are dried inside the company.”
“Raisins are in great demand in the domestic market,” Karimov said. “Therefore, our products are sold domestically and are not intended for export.”
“Raisins are sold in 5-10 kilogram boxes,” he said. “The price varies from five manats to 10 manats per kilogram. Currently, the company produces four types of raisins. Prices for all types of raisins vary.”
The products manufactured by Orelay have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
