Turkmenistan supplies glass products to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkey, Trend reports referring to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
Glass products are supplied by the Turkmen Ayna Onumleri enterprise (Turkmen Glass Products) operating under the Turkmen Ministry of Industry and Communications.
The total annual capacity is more than seven million square meters of products - transparent, laminated, tempered glass. The components for the production are made of limestone, quartz sand, dolomite and other local mineral raw materials.
The complex of the enterprise includes entire production chain, including a workshop for the preparation of raw materials, a glass fusing workshop, a workshop for the production of fiberglass sheets of various sizes and thicknesses, a glass tempering workshop and a workshop for the production of finished products.
The enterprise was commissioned in Ovadandepe district of the Gokdepe region of Turkmenistan’s Ahal province in 2018.
The complex is designed for the annual production of one million square meters of tinted glass, 100,000 square meters of laminated glass, 300,000 square meters of tempered glass, 400,000 square meters of double glazing windows.
The equipment made in Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria and Finland was installed at the enterprise. The project was implemented by the Turkish company Tepe Turkmen Insaat ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi.
Turkmenistan has been actively developing its construction sector recently by producing cement, non-metallic materials, expanded clay, filling cement, autoclaved aerated concrete.
