TOP 5 non-oil products exported by Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan exported tomatoes worth $166.7 million abroad from January through November 2019, which is 2.7 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to the December Export Review prepared by the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

Blanched hazelnuts worth $157.7 million (an increase of 47.1 percent) were exported and ranked second in the list of goods which are exported by Azerbaijan while gold worth $113.5 million (an increase of 41.5 percent) were exported and ranked third.

Azerbaijan also exported raw cotton ($107.4 million), persimmons ($84.5 million), electricity ($76 million), methanol ($63.5 million), recycled polyethylene ($59.6 million), primary polypropylene ($59.4 million) and other products ($801.3 million) from January through November 2019.

Among the most exported products were persimmons worth $37 million, tomatoes - $19.1 million, raw cotton - $16.9 million, gold - $15.7 million, blanched hazelnuts - $13.4 million, electricity - $13.1 million, apples and other fruits - $12.7 million and other goods - $77.6 million in November.

Big export volumes accounted for persimmons (in January - $12.6 million), electricity (in February - $19.4 million), blanched hazelnuts (in March - $13.7 million) from January through March 2019, while in the second quarter, the big export volumes accounted for tomatoes during all three months (from April through June - $112.6 million).

In the third quarter and in the beginning of the fourth quarter, gold ranked first from July through October in its export volume worth $77.6 million.
