Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov met with Tajik Ambassador to Turkmenistan Farrukh Sharifzoda in Ashgabat, Trend reports referring to the Tajik media.
The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations, the Tajik media said.
The issues of opening a shopping center of Tajikistan in Ashgabat and a trading house of Turkmenistan in Dushanbe were also discussed.
They spoke out for the development of cooperation in the investment, innovation and agricultural sectors, said the message.
In November, a session of the Tajik-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on trade and economic and scientific-technical cooperation was held in Ashgabat. The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda.
As a result of the event, a protocol was signed which envisaged development of cooperation between the two countries in the rational use of transport and transit potential and the expansion of communication capabilities of the two countries.
