Azerbaijan’s Sumgait Technological Park LLC (STP) plans to start production of new products intended for use in the industrial sector in Azerbaijan this year, PR Manager of STP Rashad Aliyev told Trend.
It is about the production of metal hoppers used in the mining industry, Aliyev said.
"This type of industrial product will be manufactured in Azerbaijan for the first time and is intended primarily for export. Currently, the development of a new type of product is fully completed, and in the near future, it will be introduced into production,” PR Manager said.
A metal hopper is intended for the temporary storage of liquid and bulk materials in the industrial sector, Aliyev said.
STP, commissioned in December 2009, is a complex of big plants specializing in various fields of production.
It has 50 hectares of closed production area per 250 hectares of the company’s total area. It consists of 12 factories and over 30 production sites, which employ more than 2,000 workers.
STP products distinguished by high quality are supplied to the markets of Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey, and are sold under the 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand.
