Second phase of Takht-E-Jamshid Petrochemical Company commissioned in Iran

Second facility of the Takht-E-Jamshid Petrochemical Company was commissioned in a special economic zone of Mahshahr district of Iran’s south-western Khuzestan province on Jan. 14, Trend reports referring to Shana.

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for Petrochemical Affairs and Executive Director of Iran's National Petrochemical Company Behzad Mohammadi, Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari and other officials attended the ceremony of commissioning the second phase of the company.

Mohammadi said that 55,000 tons of polybutadiene rubber will be produced at this phase a year.

“Some 20,000 tons of latex, 5,000 tons of STP rubber and 18,000 tons polybutadiene rubber for HIPS application will be also produced annually,” Mohammadi added.

The first phase of the company was put into operation in 2017. The complex covering 16 hectares is also located in the Mahshahr special economic zone. Some 35,000 tons of styrene-butadiene rubber and 18,000 tons of polybutadiene rubber are produced annually at the facility.
