More than 132,000 meters were drilled onshore and offshore by the specialists from the National Iranian Drilling Company during 10 months of this Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020), Deputy Executive Director of the company Mohammad Al Khamis said.
“Some 12,686 meters were drilled during the ninth month (from November 22 through December 21),” Al Khamis said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
“The work on 96 wells was completed during 10 months,” deputy executive director added. “Some 12 of these wells were modernized during the ninth month and transferred to the corresponding companies.”
"Two exploration wells, 35 delineation wells and 59 wells for repairing other wells have been drilled and modernized," the deputy executive director said.
“Some 70 wells were drilled in the territory of the Southern Oil Fields Company, 13 wells - in the Offshore Oil Company, two wells - in the Central Oil Fields Company, three wells - in the Gas Engineering and Development Company and eight wells - in the National Iranian Oil Company,” Al Khamis said.
“Nine oil and gas wells were modernized during 10 months and transferred to the corresponding companies,” the deputy executive director said.
