Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine & Trade reveals its production strategy

Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has kept on agenda seven strategic programs regarding expansion and increase of production across the country, Trend reports referring to the Iranian ministry’s website.

To date, nine special panel meetings dedicated to production in automotive, motorcycle, petrochemical, telecommunications, copper and steel manufacture sphere have been held in this direction, according to the report.

It is expected to save a total of 1.1 billion euros through implementing contracts signed at these panel meetings.

“In particular, 275 million euros will be saved in production of cars and motorcycles, 118 million euros - in telecommunications and electronics sphere, 680 million euros - in steel and copper industry and 92 million euros - in the production of oil, gas and petrochemical equipment,” said the report.

At nine panel meetings it was decided to produce more than 200 spare parts and types of equipment, and 99 of them will be related to production of cars and motorcycles, 16 – to petrochemicals sphere, 54 - electronics, 18 - copper and 5 – steel production.

By the end of this Iranian year (March 21, 2020), it was decided to hold seven more panel meetings to expand the production in Iran.
