Azerbaijan has manufactured agricultural products worth 656.4 million manat ($386.1 million) from January through February 2020, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee’s data.
According to the committee, during the reported period, agricultural production in the country has grown by 3.6 percent compared to 2019.
From January through February 2020, Azerbaijan’s crop production has increased by 2.7 percent compared to the same period in 2019 and made up 27.4 million manat ($16.1 million).
Azerbaijan’s livestock also increased from January through February this year by 3.2 percent compared to 2019, amounting to 629 million manat ($370 million).
A share of crop production in the structure of agricultural products increased from 45.4 percent to 47.9 percent, and the share of livestock production decreased from 54.6 percent to 52.1 percent.
The share of this sector in the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased from 5.3 percent to 5.7 percent and amounted to 4.09 billion manat ($2.4 billion) in 2019, while the crop production amounted to 3.75 billion manat ($2.2 billion).
