BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4
By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:
Azerbaijan’s largest alcohol enterprise, Jalilabad winery, is preparing to open a new isobaric wine production line, a source in the winery told Trend.
The opening of the new line is tentatively scheduled for the autumn of 2020, after its development is completed.
According to the source, the enterprise plans to increase annual wine production by at least 25-30 percent by the end of 2020.
“The factory produces 20,000 bottles of wine daily. It is planned to increase this figure to 28,000-30,000 bottles. In 2019, 180,000 dekaliters of wine were produced at the plant. In 2020, production volumes of up to 200,000 dekaliters and higher are planned. The opening of the isobaric wine line will significantly increase the production of the plant, as well as expand export opportunities abroad,” the source said.
The company plans to start export to Russia and other Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) and to China this autumn, the source added.
Over 12 types of alcoholic products including cognac spirit are produced at the enterprise.
The company’s products have a Certificate of Conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.
The company uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment in the production process.
