Turkmenistan and Israel have considered the opportunities of developing trade and economic ties between the countries, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The mentioned issues were discussed during a meeting between representatives of Turkmenistan and the State of Israel that were held via videoconference on May 11, 2020.
One of the main topics of discussion was the increase of export products of Turkmenistan and Israel. The parties noted that the agricultural sector, healthcare and exchange of experience in the field of innovation are the main areas of cooperation.
The growth of cultural and humanitarian relations was also highlighted. Parties considered the development of political and diplomatic dialogue, as well as interaction within international organizations, primarily the UN.
The Turkmen side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadjiev, and Israeli side was led by the Deputy Director General of the MFA of Israel, Head of Eurasia and the Western Balkans Division, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gary Koren.
