Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex’s increases concentrate production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18

The production of phosphate concentrate of Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex located in the Bafq county of the country's Yazd province increased by about 7 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to IMIDRO, the company's phosphate plant produced roughly 92,400 tons of phosphate concentrates in the last Iranian year.

“This figure was 86,500 tons in preceding Iranian year” IMIDRO said adding that the company's production increased by 103 percent compared to the plan (45,600 tons).

IMIDRO added that last year, the company sent 32,000 tons of phosphate concentrate to customers. This figure shows an increase of 92.5 percent compared to the preceding year (3,100 tons).

"Esfordi Phosphate Company extracted more than 305,000 tons of mining materials last year, showing a 14-percent decrease compared to 355,000 tons extracted the preceding year," the report said.

The Esfordi Phosphate Industrial and Mineral Complex is owned by IMIDRO.
