Two major Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa) have produced more than 112,400 cars since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date (May 20), Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, Iran Khodro has produced 62,300 cars since the beginning of the current Iranian year. Some 28,200 pre-sold cars have been delivered to customers.
“Saipa has produced 50,100 cars since the beginning of current Iranian year and delivered a total of 49,400 pres-sold cars to customers,” the report said.
Iran Khodro and Saipa automakers produced a total of more than 3,700 cars on May 18 and delivered a total of 2,400 pre-sold cars to customers.
“Iran Khodro has produced 2,040 cars on May 18 and delivered a total of 1,040 pre-sold cars to customers,” report noted.
“Saipa has produced 1,670 cars on May 18 and delivered a total of 1,350 pre-sold cars to customers,” report added.
The citizens in Iran first register by paying a certain amount to buy a car directly from car companies and cars are delivered to them within a few months.
