Uzbekistan to expand co-op with Israeli agricultural company

Representatives of the Khorezm Region Administration, the Foreign Investment Attraction Agency of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekchorvanasl Association (Animal Breeding Agency) held a video conference with the administration of the Israeli AgriGo company, Trend reports citing the Dunyo News Agency.

During the videoconference the sides discussed issues of implementation of a joint project on organization of a dairy cattle breeding complex in Uzbekistan with attraction of credit line of Israeli banks.

The Israeli side expressed interest in the construction of a highly productive meat and dairy complex in Uzbekistan with an emphasis on technology transfer, training of local personnel, ensuring technological standards, production volumes, etc.

Mechanisms and conditions of attracting loans from Israeli and European banks for the implementation of livestock breeding projects have been discussed in detail.

The Uzbek side expressed interest in attracting foreign experience, financing, skills and technologies to implement projects in this direction.

Following the online negotiations, the sides agreed to continue cooperation by sharing information and experience, as well as to explore the possibility of using the $150 million credit line of Israel's state-owned foreign trade risk insurance corporation ASHRA, to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan.
