Two Iranian carmakers (Iran Khodro and Saipa) produced a total of more than 176,000 unit cars during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the report, car manufacturing decreased by about 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Iran Khodro Industrial Group manufactured 96,400 unit cars.
The manufacturing of Iran Khodro Industrial Group increased by 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Iran Khodro has manufactured more than 69,000 units of Peugeot cars, more than 10,100 units of Samand cars, more than 2,000 units of Runna cars, more than 12,400 units of Dena cars, more than 1,400 units of Haima cars, 156 units of Peugeot 2008 cars, more than 1,100 units of pickups and other cars.
Saipa Group's car manufacturing exceeded 79,500 units in three months.
The company's car manufacturing decreased by 15 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Saipa manufactured more than 39,900 units of Pride cars, more than 39,500 units of Tiba cars, 9 units of Cerato cars and 13 units of Ario cars in 3 months.
