Government of Uzbekistan started the privatization of Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan, Ltd. on the auction basis, Trend reports citing the Uzbekistan National News Agency.
Uzbekozikovkatholding owns 57.2 percent of the charter capital of Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston, Ltd., while The Coca-Cola Export Corporation (USA) owns 42.8 percent.
Leading international financial institutions, foreign investment intermediaries and audit companies also participate in the open bidding.
"Today, all necessary opportunities are being created for our entrepreneurs to localize production," the report says.
Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston Ltd JV was established in 1993. Now 57.2 percent of the authorized capital stock is owned by the state Uzbekozikovkatholding company and 42.8 percent by The Coca-Cola Export Corporation (US).
Uzbekozikovkatholding food company was founded in 2016 to increase the efficiency of export of fresh fruit, vegetable and other food products of Uzbekistan.
