Iran is using nanotechnology produced by local knowledge-based company to paint coating of planes and currently supplies coating for 25 percent of domestic airplanes, said Managing Director of Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC), Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The company has produced Skydrol resistant paint that has flexibility and proper adhesion," said Nobakht Gharedaghi,
"Iranian nano paint technology is being more used for coating of domestic airplanes in recent years and shares of domestically produced nano paints in aviation industry has increased from 10 to 25 percent. Currently, Iranian nano paint is used for coating of 25 percent of planes," Gharedaghi said.
"Mahan and Zagros airlines are using this technology as it complies with high standards, while quality is very important in the aviation industry," the managing director said.
"The company seeks to enrich its product portfolio with diverse products to have better chance for export. The company is supplying paint for aviation sector, automakers, home appliances and steel industry," he added.
