Russia was the main exporter of various seeds from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries to Turkmenistan in 1H2020, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The export of flax seeds from Russia to Turkmenistan increased by 3.4 times in 1H2020, amounting to 6,758 tons, for a total of $5,705, which increases the amount of flax seeds export from Russia to Turkmenistan by 4.9 times in 1H2019.
In addition, Russia exported to Turkmenistan seeds and fruits in the amount of 3,557 tons, which exceeds the previous year's data by 3.8 times, for a total of $3,459.
Some 255 kilograms of flour from seeds were also exported from Russia to Turkmenistan in 1H2020, which is 21.4 percent more than the exports of this product in the same period of the previous year. Thus, the amount of export to Turkmenistan of flour from seeds or oilseeds was $360.
In addition, seeds for sowing were exported from Russia to Turkmenistan in the amount of 12 tons, for a total amount of $140,400.
