Activities in Iran’s Fereidoonkenar ports revealed

A total of 17,300 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22 - August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

According to the statistics, 2,700 tons of goods were loaded and 14,600 tons were unloaded at the port in the 5th month.

During the reporting month, 2,700 tons of goods were exported and 12,300 tons were imported through the Fereidoonkenar port.

“About 2,250 tons of goods were loaded for transit through the Fereidoonkenar port within the 5th month,” the statistics said.

Over the period, about 7,460 tons of essential goods, 2,680 tons of construction materials, and mining materials, 2,550 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded at the port, according to the statistics.

“Furthermore, 4,910 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the 5th month,” the statistics noted.

In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5th month.

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports decreased by 19.8 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period last year.
