Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth 212.8 million manats ($125.1 million) in the past 8 months of 2020, Trend reports referring to the data from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, from January through August this year the production of machinery and equipment grew by 50.4 percent, and other vehicles – by 63 percent compared to the same period of last year.
In the reporting period, 1,170 cars were produced, rising by 96 units or 8.2 percent compared to the past seven months of 2020.
As of September 1 this year, the volume of stocks of ready cars in the country made up 119.
Moreover, in the past eight months, 165 tractors were produced, which is 36.4 percent more than from January through July 2020. As many as 144 stocks of tractors were produced by September 1.
Some 7.6 percent accounted for transport in the structure of Azerbaijan’s GDP from January through August 2020.
