Georgia exported 164,435 tons of copper to China worth $244.4 million from January through August 2020, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the reporting period, Georgia exported 2,272 tons wine of fresh grapes worth $8.6 million to China.
Meanwhile, 19 tons of medical equipment and appliances worth $5.5 million were exported from Georgia to China. This is 29.9 tons less than in January through August 2019.
During the reporting period, Georgia exported 1,944 tons of aluminium in the amount of $2.6 million to China.
Georgia also exported 9,671 tons of precious metals and concentrates worth $24.1 million to China.
From January through August 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and China amounted to more than $737.4 million, which makes up 10.5 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $296.5 million to China, which is 14.3 percent of total exports from Georgia.
Meanwhile, China exports to Georgia amounted to $440.9 million, which comprises 8.9 percent of total imports to Georgia.
