Bank of Georgia supports creation of two vegetable greenhouses

Two vegetable greenhouses were built in the village of Khovle, in the region of Kaspi (Georgia), with the support of Bank of Georgia, Trend reports via the local media outlets.

The vegetables are grown in the greenhouses seasonally (tomatoes in summer, herbs in winter), and then sold in supermarkets and stores of Tbilisi.

"Bank of Georgia actively supports the development of businesses in the region, including the agricultural sector. Currently, the greenhouse business was expanded in the village of Khovle, in Kaspi with the help of our financial assistance. We are always ready to encourage such initiatives, which are aimedat the development of economy," said Merab Akhvlediani, Director of Mortgage and Consumer Lending Department at Bank of Georgia.

The greenhouses have been operating since 2018.

The total investment of the project is 27,000 lari ($8,448). Bank of Georgia allocated 20,000 lari (6,258).
