Iran allocates more funds to complete Narm-ab dam in Golestan Province

Iranian Deputy Minister of Energy Qasem Taghizadeh Khamesi has announced the allocation of $95 million to complete the Narm-ab dam in Iran's Golestan Province by the June 2021, Trend reports via IRNA.

The executive operation of Narm-ab dam has started since 2011 with an initial credit of $95 million on the three rivers - Narm-ab, Chehel-chai and Khormalu in Minoodasht city.

The main importance of the construction of this dam apart from meeting the water and agricultural needs of East Golestan Province, is controlling the destructive floods in the region.

Qasem Taghizadeh Khamesi has also emphasized on following up the implementation of sewerage projects in the Golestan Province`s cities of Aliabad, Gonbad Kavous and Gorgan.

The governor of Golestan Hadi Haghshenas also said that the economy of this province is based on agriculture and the efforts should be doubled for its industrial development.

Haghshenas called for solving the problem of electricity supply infrastructure in Atrak city, located in the north of Golestan province.
