Iran reveals details of exports through Bandar Lengeh County

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 29

A total of 873,000 tons of goods worth $440 million were exported through the customs of Bandar Lengeh County in Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), Director General of Bandar Lengeh Customs Office Nasser Norouzi said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director general noted that the exports through the customs of Bandar Lengeh County increased by 117 percent in terms of value and 62 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

"While in the same period last Iranian year, 540,000 tons of goods worth $212 million were exported through these customs," Norouzi added.

He said that the goods were exported to the UAE and Qatar through customs of Bandar Lengeh County.

The director general emphasized that the exported goods were mainly fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, gypsum and industrial salt and etc.
