Investments in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province climbs

The number of investments made in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (western Iran) increased by 80 times during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, said Mohammad Kazem Monzavi, Deputy Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province, Trend reports citing the organization.

The deputy chairman said that 151 trillion rials (about $3.59 billion) were invested in various areas in the province within 9 months.

“The activities of 20 inactive enterprises have been restored, and 20 enterprises have been put into operation in connection with the fight against coronavirus pandemic,” he added.

Kazem Monzavi emphasized that in addition, the problems of manufacturing enterprises in the province have been eliminated.

Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province have 10 counties and a population of about 980,000. The production of raw materials in the industrial sector of the province amounts to about 12.6 percent.

There are currently about 950 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. About 36 of them are large enterprises and work more than 100 people in these enterprises. In addition, about 50-100 people work in 32 enterprises. And the rest are small enterprises.
