The retail trade turnover in pharmaceutical products and medical supplies in Azerbaijan totaled 68.7 million manat ($40.4 million) in January 2021, having grown by 40.1 percent compared to January 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting month, 2.2 percent of the funds spent by the population fell on pharmaceutical and medical products.
The average monthly retail trade turnover per capita in January 2021 amounted to 316.3 manat ($186).
At the same time, the volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.6 billion manat ($2.11 billion), down 3.4 percent over the year.
In January 2021, the cost of products sold in retail chains in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.2 billion manat ($1.88 billion), which is 1.4 percent less than the same month of 2020.
