Some 3,014 transactions were concluded in January 2021 on the Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange for a total of 17.30 billion soums ($1.6 million), Trend reports citing the press service of Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange.
It is reported that the objects of transactions were 30.13 million securities of 63 issuers.
Thus, the largest number of deals was concluded towards the end of the first days of January - 290 deals (on January 8), while the smallest number three days earlier - 84 transactions. The largest volume of transactions was recorded on January 26, when during the day the volume of transactions amounted to more than 5.35 billion soums ($508,510).
The exchange reports that the average daily number of transactions in January accounts for 151 units, while the average daily volume of transactions amounts to 864.96 billion soums ($82 million). The volume of an average transaction on the Main Board of the Stock Market amounted to 4.69 million soums ($446).
In addition, the largest number of transactions in January 2021 was recorded with common shares of O'zbekiston respublika tovarxomashyo birjasi JSC and Kvarts JSC - 474 each. At the same time, 374 and 369 transactions were made with Qizilqumsement JSC and Hamkorbank JSCB, respectively
According to the exchange, the banking sector became the leader in terms of the industry, both in terms of the number and the volume of transactions. Some 995 transactions with banks' securities formed 5.49 billion soums ($521,817), of which almost 93 percent fell on the share of preferred shares of Kapitalbank JSCB.
Despite the relatively small number of transactions (50), the volume of transactions with securities of issuers from the energy sector amounted to 3.19 billion soums ($303,205). Some 52 transactions were concluded with securities of representatives of the agro-industrial complex for a total of 1.81 billion soums ($172,038).
The indicator of the construction and industrial sectors by the volume of transactions amounted to 1.04 ($98,850) and 0.73 billion soums ($69,385), and by the number of transactions - 869 and 389, respectively.
The lowest result in terms of both the number and the volume of transactions was recorded in the transport industry.
