Iran unveils data of gasoline and petrochemicals exports

Iran's gasoline exports increased by 358 percent in terms of value and 618 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported 7.84 million tons of gasoline worth more than $2.91 billion last Iranian year. While in the preceding year, 1.09 million tons of gasoline worth about $636 million were exported.

“In addition, the exports of Iran’s petrochemical products decreased by 23 percent in terms of value and 13.2 percent in terms of volume over last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year,” the statistics said.

So, Iran exported 47.6 million tons of petrochemicals worth $13.8 billion within last Iranian year. However, 54.8 million tons of petrochemicals worth about $18 billion were exported from Iran in the preceding Iranian year, the statistics said.

Reportedly, Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth $34.5 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
