Certain licenses issued for setting up industrial enterprises in Iran's Yazd Province

As many as 143 industrial enterprises were licensed to be established in the Yazd Province (central Iran) in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), said the Chairman of the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of the Yazd Province, Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman emphasized that 31.9 trillion rials (about $759 million) is to be spent on the establishment of these enterprises. If the enterprises are put into operation, 4,070 people will be provided with jobs.

He added that Yazd province ranks first in Iran in terms of the number of licenses issued for the establishment of industrial enterprises.

Alamdar Yazdi noted that the amount of licenses increased by 146 percent in terms of number, 642 percent in terms of expenses and 343 percent in terms of employment in the first month, compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Reportedly, there are about 3,000 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Yazd Province. More than 800 types of goods are produced in the province.
