Azerbaijan discloses trade surplus

Azerbaijan's trade surplus amounted to $2.4 billion from January through April 2021, Trend reports citing the data from the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

The legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with their partners from 164 countries from January through April 2021.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported the products to 96 countries and imported them from 152 countries.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $9.5 billion from January through April 2021, including export - $6 billion, import - $3.5 billion.

At the same time, foreign trade turnover in real prices increased by 16.5 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the period from January through April 2020 while in real terms - decreased by 12.4 percent (import - by 18.1 percent, export - by 8.3 percent).

Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $697 million from January through April 2021, which in actual prices is by 27 percent more than in the same period of 2020 while in real terms - less by 10.7 percent.
