Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin held a meeting with Tyson Foods President for International Business Chris Langholz, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the prime minister.
The issues of the development of the modern agro-multi protein industry in Kazakhstan were discussed. Tyson Foods, together with the Kazakh Kusto Group company, plans to launch a full cycle of beef production in Kazakhstan in accordance with the agreement signed in December 2019 during Mamin’s visit to the US.
So, at the first stage, it is planned to build a modern meat processing complex in Kazakhstan with a capacity of at least 2,000 heads per day. The enterprise not only will meet the needs of the Kazakh market, but also export the products to foreign markets.
The implementation of the project will stimulate the development of the meat industry and other related sectors of the agro-industrial complex, namely, veterinary medicine, agricultural engineering, cultivation of fodder crops, the creation of feedlots, etc. Tens of thousands of new jobs will be created in Kazakhstan’s agriculture.
The production cycle will be carried out by rendering information and consulting services to the Kazakh farmers based on the model of the US "Extension" service, which includes consultations, training of local personnel, and vocational training.
Tyson Foods was founded in 1935. The company's turnover is $43.1 billion. Some 139,000 people work in the company.
