New farm equipped with modern technologies to open in Georgian Kakheti

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15

A new farm equipped with modern technologies will be opened in Georgian village of Tibaani, Kakheti region, with an investment of 1.5 million lari ($479,179), Trend reports via Georgian media.

The farm will be equipped and operated by the company "Caucasus Genetics".

As the director of the company Giorgi Khatiashvili explains, the mentioned farm will be designed for 50 cows, where the cattle will be fed by a robot.

"It will be the first farm in Georgia where a robot will work and feed the cattle. Such a project has hardly been implemented in the South Caucasus," Khatiashvili noted.

According to him, the farm will also have a training-demonstration purpose, where students will be trained and educated.

"The farm will be equipped with the latest technology in the world. The farm will be equipped with the technology of Swedish-based company Delaval. Farmers and students from all over the country will have the opportunity to gain relevant knowledge, to improve their qualifications in various fields of animal husbandry," said Khatiashvili.

The farm will be commissioned in the fall of this year.
