Number of restored industrial enterprises in Iran announced

The activities of 322 industrial enterprises were resumed in Iran during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Rasoulian said that thus, the number of industrial enterprises in Iran, of which activities have been suspended, decreased by 13 percent. With the resumption of these enterprises, 3,000 people were provided with jobs.

“It is planned to resume the activities of 1,600 industrial enterprises in Iran during the current Iranian year. While in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the activities of 1,550 enterprises were resumed in the country,” he added.

As reported, the main problems of the restored enterprises in Iran were lack of liquidity, disagreements between partners, lack of raw materials, lack of product market, lack of equipment supplying.

There are 823 industrial parks in Iran. About 46,800 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 941,000 people work there.
