Turkmenistan has increased the export of chemical products to Russia from January through May 2021, the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia told Trend.
From January through May 2021, Russia imported chemical threads from Turkmenistan, as well as flat and similar threads made of chemical textile materials in the amount of $3.3 million.
From January through May 2020, Russia's purchase of the same Turkmen products amounted to $1.2 million.
Thus, during the reporting period, Russia imported products of inorganic chemistry, organic or inorganic compounds in the amount of $839,198. At the same time, for the reporting period a year earlier, the number of purchases of the same products amounted to $652,150.
The total trade turnover of Turkmenistan and Russia from January through May 2021 amounted to $243 million.
In general, the volume of Russian exports to Turkmenistan in the reporting period amounted to $179.5 million, while the import of goods from Turkmenistan to Russia amounted to $63.5 million.
