Uzbekistan and Japan consider intensification of bilateral co-op in field business

Uzbekistan and Japan discussed the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the field of business, Trend reports referring to Dunyo news agency.

The mentioned issue was discussed between Uzbek Ambassador Mukhsinkhuzha Abdurakhmonov and the President of the Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) of Japan Ken Matsuzawa.

During the talks, the sides discussed issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation, including with representatives of Japanese businesses that are part of the organization. Ken Matsuzawa expressed his readiness to make every effort to assist in attracting Japanese companies to the Uzbek market.

It is reported that in order to familiarize the Japanese business community with favorable conditions for doing business in the country, as well as presenting specific projects, an agreement was reached on organizing joint events, in particular business forums, presentations, seminars, round tables, and others.

Also, a decision was made to appoint the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan as an honorary member of the Japanese organization in order to further strengthen cooperation with the International Exchange Council.

The International Exchange Council was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organization that maintains friendship and business relations with foreign countries at the private sector level. The FEC board members include representatives of leading Japanese companies, in particular Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd., Daiwa Securities Group Inc., Sumitomo Corporation, Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC, Hitachi High-Tech Corporation, Sakura Global Holding Co., Ltd. Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Nippon Express Co., Ltd.
