Exports of Iran through Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 30

The exports from the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (south-western Iran) increased by 62 percent in terms of value and 103 percent in terms of volume from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to August 29, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Sajjad Rostami said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The chairman noted that the exports from the province amounted to 33,000 tons worth $21.4 million within the mentioned period.

Rostami added that the province goods were mainly exported to Iraq, India, Turkey, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Yemen and Russia.

“Washing machines, spare parts for air conditioners, water conditioner, electric water heaters, aluminum and steel wires, almonds, fish feed, ammonia, ceramics, milk powder and so on were main exported goods from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province,” he said.

Rostami stressed that one of the main goals of the province's Industry, Mine and Trade Organization is to use the potential of the private sector to increase exports and identify new markets.
