Iran increases value of exports from Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 28

The value of Iran’s exports from Qom Province (northern Iran) increased by 90 percent during first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, 94,000 tons of goods worth $108 million were exported from Qom Province in 6 months.

The director general also added that within six months, 24,000 tons of goods worth $112 million were imported to Qom Province. The main imported goods were raw materials and equipment used in manufacturing enterprises.

Derikvandi noted that the customs revenues of the Qom Province for the reporting period amounted to 1.21 trillion rials (about $28.8 million).
