Kazakhstan reports almost twofold boost in purchases of housing

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 420,514 transactions over the period from January through September 2021, which is 97.4 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The total number of buy/sell transactions in Kazakhstan in September 2021 amounted to 50,364 transactions, which is 8.4 percent more than in August 2021 and 42.4 percent more than during the same month of 2020.

The largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 7,438 transactions, which is 9.1 percent more than in August 2021 and 27.1 percent more than in September 2020.

Almaty city is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 6,962 transactions, which is 19.3 percent more than during August 2021 and 45.6 percent more than in September 2020.

Karaganda region ranked third (5,890 transactions in September 2021), showing a 10.6 percent increase compared to August 2021 and a 65.1 percent increase compared to September 2020.

The least number of purchases and sales of housing transactions during September 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (894 transactions, a decrease of 9.1 percent compared to August 2021 and an increase of 3.6 percent compared to September 2020).
