Iran, Moldova consider boosting trade

The amount of trade between Moldova and the Islamic Republic of Iran has reached $3 million in the first eight months of the current year, the vice president of The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI RM) said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

The Head of The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI RM) Sergei Ovaria made the remarks during a meeting with the chairman of the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce, held via video conferencing.
Moldova trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran was $2 million last year, which has reached $3 million in the first eight months of the current year.

The private sector of East Azerbaijan Province expressed readiness for economic cooperation with Moldova.

The Vice President of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce Abolfath Ebrahimi explained the special economic capacities of East Azerbaijan Province.

"This province in northwestern Iran, sharing borders with Azerbaijan, is situated at the crossroads of the main commercial routes to Europe,” said Ebrahimi.

Referring to over five thousand industrial factories and 52 industrial towns in the province, he addressed the industrial capabilities of the province such as the largest tractor production plant in the country and several types of machinery, equipment, and parts manufacturing companies.
