Iran is seeking to invest in Cuba's mega projects including the
energy sector, said the Iranian Ambassador in Cuba Mohammad Hadi
Sobhani, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Iran can invest in renewable energies, and especially solar energy since Cuba has planned to use 25 percent of its energy consumption from renewable energies by 2030. Investment in Cuba's energy sector is a good opportunity for Iran to invest in Cuba's mega projects, and the Iranian government could play a role in these projects," he said.
The envoy has noted that Iran has transferred credits from the Export Development Bank of Iran to Cuba, and the two countries have defined special projects.
