Azerbaijan and Iran exchanged views on the current state of trade relations between the two countries and the removal of some existing barriers, Trend reports citing Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The exchange of views took place during a meeting between the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev and the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Seyyed Abbas Mousavi.
According to the report, the meeting focused on mutual visits of private sector representatives of the two countries, holding of joint trade exhibitions, bank exchanges and other issues of interest.
Reportedly, the value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran in 2021 amounted to about $441 million. Trade turnover increased by 30 percent compared to 2020. Work is underway to reach the value of trade turnover between the two countries $1 billion.
