BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Qom Province increased by 54 percent in value and 85 percent in volume, in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Derikvandi, a total of 27,200 tons of goods worth about $19.2 million were exported through the customs of the Qom Province in the first month.

“Meanwhile, in the same month last Iranian year, the country’s exports through the province’s customs amounted to 14,600 tons worth $12.4 million,” he added.

The director general also stressed that electronic systems will be used to simplify the export of goods produced in the Qom Province for the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

“In addition, a total of 2,350 tons of goods worth $9.16 million were imported through the province's customs within the 1st month. The imported goods were mainly equipment and essential products,” Derikvandi noted.
