BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Iran’s exports through the customs of Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 79 percent in value and 12 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Bushehr Province Mehdi Safavi told reporters, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

According to Safavi, more than 9.72 million tons of goods worth about $5.16 billion (excluding gas condensate) were exported through the customs of the province in 4 months.

“The main exported goods were petrochemical products, minerals, greens, vegetables, and etc. These goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, India, Republic of South Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Mozambique, Türkiye, Pakistan and Singapore,” he said.

The chairman also added that about 206,000 tons of goods worth over $672 million were imported through the province’s customs in 4 months, which is an increase of 95 percent in value and 45 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Safavi noted that various fabrics, rice, tea, tires, motorcycle and bicycle spare parts, car spare parts, etc. were main imported goods.

The goods were mainly imported from China, the UAE, Russia, India, Thailand, Philippines, Türkiye, Sri Lanka, South Korea and Japan, the official pointed out.
