BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 3.63 trillion tenge ($7.6 billion) over the period from January through August 2022, which is 4.3 percent more compared to the same period of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Some 3.6 trillion tenge ($7.5 billion) accounted for agriculture alone, including 1.3 trillion ($2.7 billion) accounting for plant growing, and 2.2 trillion tenge ($4.7 billion) - for animal husbandry.

The increase in the agriculture, forestry and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase in eggs output by 5.7 percent, milk by 1.6 percent, meat and poultry by 1 percent.

Turkistan region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 476.8 billion tenge ($999.7 million) from January through August 2022, showing a 3.9-percent increase compared to the same months of 2021.

This includes 216.2 billion tenge ($453.3 million) worth of plant growing output and 256.4 billion tenge ($537.6 million) of animal husbandry output.

Second and third places accounted for Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Akmola region amounted to 368.1 billion tenge ($771.8 million), which is 8.2 percent more than during the same period of 2021.

This includes 154.9 billion tenge ($324.9 million) worth of plant growing output and 210.3 billion tenge ($440.9 million) of animal husbandry output.

The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the North Kazakhstan region amounted to 343.4 billion tenge ($720 million), which is 9.7 percent more than during the same period of last year.

This includes 170.9 billion tenge ($358.4 million) worth of plant growing output and 170.2 billion tenge ($356.9 million) of animal husbandry output.

An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output were observed in 16 Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
