TEHRAN, Iran, September 27. Iranian airline companies are having problems with customs, as far as importing airplane parts is concerned, said secretary of the Association of Iranian Airlines Maghsoud Assadi, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Airline companies are having problems for discharging the imported plane parts and this has been going on for the past 7 months, since the companies need a permit from the government, he said.
He underlined that Iran’s air fleet is facing shortage of plane parts and the mentioned obstacles will gradually lead to more cuts for the number of flights.
"Iranian specialists are able to carry out an overhaul of an aircraft despite sanctions, but shortage of spare parts makes it all very difficult," Assadi explained.
