Kazakh ministry and HUAWEI sign memorandum of understanding

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan and Huwaei Technologies Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding on creating a digital hub in Kazakhstan as part of Digital Bridge International Forum dedicated to digital technology, business and IT, Trend reports via Kazakh ministry.

The main idea is to strengthen Kazakh information and communication infrastructure, introduce innovative solutions and technologies in the country's priority industries, as well as increase the international competitiveness of domestic business.

One of the main directions of cooperation mentioned in the memorandum was the introduction of advanced digital solutions in the development of ICT infrastructure in Kazakhstan, namely, work on projects in the field of deployment of broadband internet, mobile internet and full-scale development of 5G networks in the country.

According to the memorandum, Kazakhstan's ministry and Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan, will also expand opportunities for the development of ICT talents within the digital hub. In order to develop the scientific and technological potential of Kazakhstan, the parties will conduct educational activities using the experience and resources of Huawei, including training courses, seminars and forums to improve ICT knowledge.

Also, the signed memorandum will cover cooperation in promoting government's policy in the field of attracting talents from nearby regions to form the ICT Talent Center in Eurasia.

“The scale of using digital technologies in the work of the most important industries of Kazakhstan is becoming wider. Huawei expresses its full readiness to support and ensure the implementation of projects for the comprehensive development of the country's digital economy. Our cooperation in the field of introducing digitalization into urban and agricultural facilities, providing advisory services for the introduction and research of high technologies, as well as using the existing ICT infrastructure will expand and improve the digital services provided to the population,” CEO of Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan Zhao Xu said.
