Iran's IMIDRO records growth in aluminum ingots production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Iran's aluminum ingots production increased by 19 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, four Iranian aluminum companies produced a total of 474,601 tons of aluminum ingots in 9 months. The figure stood at 398,610 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

"So, the South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) produced 203,231 tons of aluminum ingots, the Iranian Aluminum Company – 132,394 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 111,479 tons, and Iran Alumina Company – 27,497 tons within nine months," the report said.

In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced over 176,239 tons of alumina powder for 9 months, which is an increase of 0.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the company’s alumina powder production amounted to 175,284 tons.

During 9 months, the Iranian Alumina Company also produced 405,921 tons of bauxite.
