BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Iran's imports from Kazakhstan decreased by 77.2 percent in value and 77.1 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.
In 2 months, Iran imported about 21,400 tons of goods worth $9.03 million from Kazakhstan, while in the same period of last Iranian year, the imports stood at about 93,600 tons worth approximately $20.9 million.
Meanwhile, in the 2nd month (April 21 through May 21, 2023) alone, Iran's imports from Kazakhstan amounted to 15,200 tons worth approximately $6.07 million.
Iran mainly imported wheat, barley, various types of equipment, and so on from Kazakhstan for two months.
Overall, Iran imported 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion for the first 2 months of the current Iranian year.
This is a decrease of 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
